Brayden King is buckled in for an exciting few weeks. Yesterday the Weyburn native released a new single on all streaming services, the summer party anthem “Bad Night To Be A Beer”. The single release was sandwiched between a pair of live performances, last weekend’s Jeep Fest Band Aid in Meath Park, SK and the August 7th “Party At The Park” at Tramping Lake, SK. Like all artists, King has spent the last year plus itching to perform live and now that the restrictions are lifted has quickly filled his dance card. “It’s been a long wild ride getting myself to the stage“ King shared. “It’s a bit different this time around though, because it’s my first time performing publicly as a solo artist. I’ve always been in bands before so I’m very excited about this new chapter in my music career. JeepFest was an incredible welcome back to performing live. The organizers, workers, bands, crowd, and everyone else involved were such a treat to work with. I’m also very stoked to be a part of Party in the Park put on by Tralapa Festival in August. It’s going to be such a great show and I’m just counting down the days. I’m very excited to play lots more shows in the fall.“

King’s summer performances will enthusiastically showcase his new single, “Bad Night To Be A Beer”. A fun country-rock party anthem that perfectly captures the prairie youth experience, the song is a lock to fast become an audience favourite. “Bad Night To Be A Beer has been quite a crazy process!” King recalls. “I wrote it last summer, basically about partying at the lake with friends and having a great time. Due to Covid, it was a different process getting it recorded. All the musicians playing on the song recorded their tracks remotely since we all couldn’t be in the same room. I then sent all the files to my good friend and collaborator, Tanner Bolianatz, who produced, mixed, and mastered the final product. I have to give so much credit to this guy, he really brought my vision for the song to life and I couldn’t be more thankful. It’s been a long process sending files back and forth, but I’m very happy to finally have the final product we wanted.”
