SaskMusic's 2022 "Instrumental Artist Of The Year" Nige B dropped his latest single January 6th, the electronica-tinged hip hop track "Tears On Love Letters". Following 2021's Circa 1990 and last year's In Retrospect, "Tears On Love Letters" is the first single from Nige B's forthcoming third album U R What U R, scheduled for release in April.
The La Ronge, Saskatchewan-based artist has committed to creating music in a global village; guest performers on the single include South African vocalist Hurricane Ceasar and Nigerian artist BrayneZee, and more international artists will make guest apperances on U R What U R.
"'Tears On Love Letters' has some hard breakup vibes, with lots of emotion lyrically and musically" Nige B told NSMZ. "This is the only track off of the record that has piano in it, so I was aiming to capture as much emotion as possible. After I laid down all the instrumentation I felt the song was just about there, just missing the perfect artists to add their vocals and give it that extra much needed emotion to fit the songs vibe."
"Tears On Love Letters" is available now on all streaming services. U R What U R is sheduled for release in April.
