REVIEW: GreenWing – “All Hard Feelings”

Saskatoon’s GreenWing are back swinging with their latest single “All Hard Feelings” — a bitter breakup anthem disguised as a feel-good rock banger. Known for their chaotic live shows and singalong choruses, the band leans into a bluesy shuffle groove on this one, pairing catchy rhythms with lyrics that cut deep and still maintaining a punk rock street cred.

Frontman Matt Stinn doesn’t hold back. His vocals walk a tightrope between wounded and pissed off, especially in the chorus where he pushes into his upper range for that extra sting. His verses are full of sharp turns and quotable lines — “I won’t bubble and explode like my dad” and “I wouldn’t drop that dime on your ass” feel lifted straight from the pages of a messy breakup text. There’s catharsis in the honesty, and GreenWing aren’t here to sugarcoat.

The band, now locked in with a permanent lineup, sounds tight and confident. Stinn (vocals/guitar), Declan Hills (bass), Anthony Allegretto (guitar), and Nathan Henry (drums) each bring something to the table, and it shows in the song’s structure. The hooks hit, the groove moves, and the track lands like a sucker punch with a smile.

Produced by Stinn and recorded at Rainy Day Recording Co., “All Hard Feelings” is polished without losing its edge. If there’s one nitpick, it’s that Stinn could’ve spat the words a little harder — leaned into the venom. But even so, the message lands: heartbreak sucks, and GreenWing's got your soundtrack.
